Lady Gaga Meat Dress: It's Meaty Meat

Lady Gaga impressed the world with her dress made of real meat, paraded at the 2010 Video Music Awards. The outfit was responsible for the designer of Los Angeles, Franc Fernandez, who told the website of MTV a little more about the dress.
According to the stylist, the stylist , Gaga Nicola Formichetti came into contact with him. The two had worked together as the singer posed with the meat bikini on the cover of Vogue Homme Japan. The idea was to take that picture, taken by Terry Richardson, as inspiration to create a dress for the interpreter of Poker Face.
The piece featured chunks of beef in Argentina, named matambre.
- I went to my butcher in Los Angeles to pick up. He is the butcher who buys my family. I’m trying to get an autographed photo [of Gaga with the dress] to give him.
For the creation, Franc bought more than 22 pounds of meat - the dress was very heavy, around 19 pounds - despite Gaga say it was one of the outfits worn more comfortable than at the awards.
The piece, fitted with a corset for the weight to stay focused on the bust of the singer, had to be cooled as it was done so that the meat does not spoil. Nevertheless, Gaga said to him that the smell was even nice, a little sweet.
Franc did not use a drawing to be based, he was simply mounted the look with the raw material.
The designer also has the idea of putting strings in the shoes of butcher’s meat Gaga were part of the package, the inspiration for the outfit, which was also complemented with a diamond brooch in the bag.
